A full gram of vitamin C
Your body needs far less than a gram of vitamin C a day, and it absorbs less of each dose as the dose gets bigger. So 1,000 mg is not a target to hit exactly. It is a generous margin.
More than vitamin C

Is it the same as the vitamin C at the pharmacy counter?
Not quite. Most plain vitamin C is just vitamin C. This one adds the B vitamins, zinc, manganese and the sweat minerals. Whether you need the extras depends on what else you take, so ask the pharmacist.
